Investigating Soil

This week we have discussed properties of soil. (texture, size & color) Today we were scientist and took a closer look. 

80's Day!!

These silly girls came dressed for the 80's! So fun. 

Today we had a special guest. Melissa Sweet is a children's author. She shared with us pictures of her when she was a little girl she also showed us how she draws her characters in her books. 

These two friends won a certificate at the youth art show!! Way to go Madi and Trey!!

Soil

Dear Parents:

Next week in Science we will be studying soil.  Please have your child bring in a small baggie of soil from their backyard or neighborhood by Monday.

1st grade Super Hero, birthday celebrations and more

This week had flown by fast with the ice day Monday and math assesents. 

Madisyn was the Super Hero for first grade. Madisyn does a wonderful job listening and following directions. 

Sophia turned 7 today!! Happy birthday Sophia. If you look close you will see a bow on her birthday crown. 

Last but not least, someone lost a tooth today. (With a little help of Ms. Weinke)
