Guided Reading Bags

Parents-

Guided Reading bags are coming home with your child starting today. Please make sure to date, write the title of the book and sign that you read with your child.  It is very important that these bags come back to school every day!  Make sure to put everything back in the bag before returning the bag.  Please let me know if you have any questions.

STAR OF THE WEEK

Spiders!!!

 Today we were able to (safely) get close to real live spiders!!  This spider was moving its pedipalps fast for us to see them.

Mrs. C. Williams let us borrow Harry for the next few days.  He is a caged tarantula that lives in a log inside his cage.  We love to watch him crawl out of the log and back in again!! 

Harry is getting out of the log to eat his lunch.  YUCK!!

Today we spent the afternoon labeling the parts of a spider.  Ask your child if they can tell you the following parts: pedipalps, head, abdomen, legs, spinnerets, & eyes.
