Boosterthon Update

We are at $10 a lap!!  That is so exciting!  We have earned our first classroom prize.  Tomorrow we will have shoes off day. We are currently tied for 3^rd place for 1^st grade.  Let’s keep those pledges coming!!  Here are the states that we need to get pledges in in order for Mr. I to sleep on the roof of the school-

Today we introduced our pumpkin characters. As a class we had to use our schema, or background knowledge, to guess what each pumpkin was dressed as. We had amazing characters!!

BOOSTERTHON!!

Its that time of year again!! We are starting our Boosterthon today!! Please log into www.FunRun.com and start asking for pledges. I sent home a Boosterthon brochure today with the website and code. 

We need to think of a team name. If you have an idea write it down and send it in tomorrow. We will decide as a class what our name will be tomorrow morning.

Guess Who

Today we did a writing map to get our ideas on paper. Once we mapped out our ideas we made clues about ourselves. Try to guess who we are by looking at our picture!

Monday Wear RED day!  All grades will receive a HERO book mark to remind them to always do the right thing!

Tuesday  Put a cap on drugs!  Wear a Hat!

Wednesday   Team up against Drugs?  Wear your favorite sports team jersey or shirt.

Thursday  Don’t let unhealthy choices “sneak” up on you?  Wear sneakers!!!!!

Friday stay drug free!  Wear your school shirt to show your spirit!  

ABC Order

Yesterday we practiced putting our spelling words in ABC order. This is a great activity that students can do weekly with their spelling list.
