Today we were surprised to have another mystery reader!!  It was so fun to have Mrs. Jacobson come visit today.  Thank you for making our day special.

This week in science we are talking about different kinds of energy.  Heat, sound and light energy.  Today we used a popcorn popper that used heat energy to turn the kernels into popcorn.

Weekly update!

This week we worked on publishing our bat story.  We had to include characters and setting in our beginning, a problem in the middle and the solution in the end.  It was a lot of work, but worth it!!

Simone is our Star of the Week this week.  Thank you for all your help at lunch Simone!

This week in science we have discussed observable properties. Today we looked at textures of different materials.

Our first Mystery Reader came today!!  Mrs. Spooner came and read a book about a runaway pumpkin and a silly book about monsters.

 Thank you Mrs. Spooner!!

Pumpkin Science

Today we wrapped up our heating and cooling science activities.  We started out with a pumpkin with crayons glued to the top.  Once heat was applied the crayons melted and became a liquid.  They then turned into a solid once cooled.  It was a fun
 (and messy ) activity!!
