Today was our Fun Run Huddle!! Prizes and awards were given out to the grade level with the most money raised and to individual students. Our school did an amazing job and raised $20,000!!
Today at Good Morning Hosp we celebrated Alex's birthday.
This week was also Red Ribbon week. Our amazingly talented 3rd graders sang songs about being drug free! Mrs. Ford lead them in a few songs to wrap up the week.
Mr. Else handed out the prizes for the fun run!
We raised our goal amount so the top 11 students who raised the most money got to silly string Mr. Else. He is a good sport!
After taking our spelling test we started with math. We counted all the seeds that were in the pumpkin. We counted them by 1's, 2's, 5's and 10's.
We also measured the circumference of the pumpkin with a string and then used snap cubes to measure the length of the string.
Here are our amazing Pumpkins from our Pumpkin reports!
In science we have been talking about how matter can turn from a solid to a liquid and to a liquid to a solid. Well we tried(and failed) a science experiment today. We (I tried making ice cream) with Mrs. Landphair's class. Somehow I read the instructions wrong and put the rock salt in the wrong bag:( YUCK!! The liquid turned into ice cream, but a nasty salty ice cream. We are going to try it again on Monday.
Have a wonderful weekend! Please send me pics of your Halloween!
