Science for this Week

This week we are learning the parts of animals.  We have identified the parts of a reindeer on Monday.  Look at the wonderful drawing that Ms. Moore did for us!!  We(I am) are going to miss her artistic ability. 

Mrs. Spiegel, Dempsey and Zach came to talk to our class and Mrs. Patz's class about Hanukkah.  We had so much fun learning songs and games.

Zack read a story about Hanukkah traditions.

 Then, Zack showed us a Menorah that his family uses for Hanukkah.  There are eight candles for the eight days of Hanukkah and they use the Shamash (the taller candle in the middle) to light the candles.

 Here is a dridel that they use to play the dridel game.

Mrs. Spiegel explained the rules of the game. 

 Here we are playing the game in pairs.
