Kawanzaa

Today we discussed Kawanzaa.  We learned that it is an African American holiday that is seven days long.  It begins December 26th and lasts through the first day of January. This is a holiday that celebrates the African heritage.  We made a kinara.  The Kinara is used to hold the seven candles that are lit.  One is candle is lit for seven nights.
