Draw Me a Star
This week in class we have been reading books by Eric Carle. On Monday we read Draw Me a Star and then we made our own stars.
On Wednesday we read A House for a Hermit Crab and made a tree map of our birthdays.
Today we read I'm Special, I'm Me! by Ann Meek and discussed how we are all different. After the story we went back to our seats and made a Marvlous Me book.

Black Binder
Dear Parents,
At Kindergarten Orientation the Kindergarten Team asked for each child to bring in a black, 1 inch, 3 ring binder. I have some of the kids but I am still missing a few. We use these binders as a “year book” to hold work that we have done throughout the year. If you would please send one in by September 9th I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you for your help and support.
Curriculum Night
Parents-
Don't forget that Curriculum Night is Thursday from 6-6:45 for kindergarten. Please do not bring children to the meeting. The meeting is information for you as a parent and there is no entertainment for children. Please let me know if you have any questions.
Thank you!

This week's poem was Jack Be Nimble. We reenacted the poem to learn our friend's names. Hailey reminded us not to use a real candlestick and flame because it is damgerous. We used a cup turned upside down instead. Thank you Hailey for thinking of our safety.
Papi be nimble...
Lucas be quick...
Ryan jumped over the candlestick.
Thanks for a great first week!! See you Monday!!
